Surrounded by verdant mountain ranges and shrouded in the morning mist, Khiri Wongkot Village, a small village with the well-preserved traditional way of life, is bordered to the three provinces including Loei, Nong Khai and Udon Thani. The village is 140 kilometres away from the city, offering a wide range of activities such as an adventurous ride on the E-tak car, or a farm tractor, to the remote upstream forest, swimming in the Huai Chang Phlai Waterfall, and enjoying “the jungle lunch buffet”, a country-style buffet which diners sit in a circle with all the delicious food in the middle, including cooked rice in bamboo and food wrapped in banana leaves, before ending the day at homestay accommodation and waking up to be soaked in the breathtaking view of the sea of morning mist.
